EASL Professional Development Sessions offer the opportunity to visit facilities throughout the region to hear from key people involved in sustainability education and see what’s happening in their space. There is time to network and swap knowledge, tips and challenges with everyone else in the room as well as learn from guest presenters.
These meetings welcome anyone involved in the sustainability learning community to attend (staff, parents, broader family members, volunteers and students).
Sessions are currently online due to COVID-19 but under normal circumstances locations will rotate around the Eastern Region (Knox, Manningham, Maroondah, Whitehorse and Yarra Ranges) with a different topic each term. There are no restrictions on attending sessions in the other municipalities.
Pathways to an Active Travel Program
A session looking at the big picture of travelling actively, what it could mean for your school community and the support available locally.
A range of resources will be made available after the session, including an active travel calendar and connections to further programs such as those run by VicHealth and the RACV.
Teachers will receive a certificate towards their VIT professional development requirements.
